This church was rebuilt in 1882 over the walls of the former church, which was erected in 1844 and destroyed by fire. It houses sculptures by Léo Arbour, one of Canada’s great religious artists. In the church choir, visitors can admire nine paintings done in 1915-1916 by the Montreal artist Louis-Eustache Monty. The tomb of the cure Joseph Caron was discovered under the Saint Joseph altar and is now visible through a window in the floor. The Casavant organ, manufactured in 1925, is equipped with a pneumatic tube system.

Open : June 24 to August 19: Wednesday to Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

Free admission.
