The Forges-du-Saint-Maurice National Historic Site of Canada, in collaboration with Personare-Vulgarisation Historique (a group dedicated to the popularization of history), cordially invites the public to solve the riddle surrounding the death of Pierre Beaupré, a locksmith, found dead at the Forges on October 19, 1739. By candlelight and lamplight, this murder mystery will unfold on Friday, October 14 and 21 and Saturday, October 15 and 22, 2011, at 8 pm at the Grande Maison of the Forges du Saint-Maurice.
As part of this murder mystery activity, participants must elucidate the crime on the basis of the pieces of evidence that are laid before them. In addition, in groups of 8, they will have the privilege of interrogating the suspects for the purpose of unmasking the culprit. Who was the murderer and what was the motive for his crime? These are the questions that they will have to answer during this two-hour-long activity.
Admission to this evening of justice by lamplight is $25. For previously assembled groups of 8, the set of 8 tickets will be sold for the price of 7. Please note that it is not necessary to be in a group in order to participate. Considering that the activity is only offered on two evenings, advance reservations and payment are m andatory.
